Linden Labs has just rolled out a new set of Linden Homes for premium account holders. I've never really been one to grab a linden home but when I saw their new styles and that the prim allowance was higher I had to jump in and snatch one up. I chose to fo for the Victorian style because the existing landscaping around the houses was quite nice but still allowed me room to add my own in.
The house I used is called The Doyle. There are four Victorian styles to choose from and you can change which one is on your plot simply by clicking your little mailbox at the front. You can also obtain a kit full of goodies to use from the mailbox, such as flowers, fence pieces and textures for really giving your home a personalised touch. I just used the menu from the house and changed the colours via that for now.
Now these houses are on 1024m2 plots and have a prim allowance of 351. Probably doesn't seem like a lot but you can certainly do a lot with it if you shop wisely. Most of the items I used are under 5LI and come from either a gacha under $75 or from a free group gift. With the exception of bigger pieces like the kitchen, bathroom and bed which were full priced items but still very inexpensive.
The highest LI item I have out is the fence, which starts off as:

LH - Victorian - Wall - IronLong v2.0 - 1 LI
and with the entire parcel fenced in and all linked into one object, it's a total of 48 LI. The next highest after that is my little garden shed and garden weighing in at 25 LI.
You can save yourself a few prim/LI here and there by linking items. For example my curtains are all linked and it went down by 3 prims/LI versus leaving them all unlinked. 3 prims isn;t all that much in the scheme of things but if you add up all the items you link throughout an entire house you can end up saving yourself around 20 - 40 prims. With all my decorating done I have used up 274 prims leaving me with 77 available should I need to unpack shopping items, or if I want to add more decor or landscaping.
